Celebrate 75 years of the NHS

As the UK celebrates 75 years of the NHS, we're inviting people to share their stories of care at The National Hospital. The hospital, along with the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology, make up a world-leading centre for the diagnosis, treatment and care of people with neurological and neuromuscular conditions.

It takes a whole team of people – from consultants and nurses to radiographers and porters – to make patients feel safe and well looked-after. If you or a loved one has been treated at the hospital and you want to say thank you to the staff, we'd love to hear from you. Also, if there was anyone in particular who especially helped you, please do tell us about them!

We will share your messages with the Queen Square clinicians and other team members. And, if you would like to support The National Hospital, please consider making a donation to The National Brain Appeal. All contributions help us carry on our vital work, meaning we can invest in research, training and state-of-the-art facilities to help transform life for the millions of people affected by a neurological condition. The Porters at NHNN

I had a brief spell at Queen Square in September 2006 when my shunt blocked. I still remember the utter kindness of a porter who cheered me up one day when I was feeling low. I never caught his name. This is in addition to my heartfelt thanks to the whole team at Queen Square particularly Mr Watkins.
