Celebrate 75 years of the NHS

As the UK celebrates 75 years of the NHS, we're inviting people to share their stories of care at The National Hospital. The hospital, along with the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology, make up a world-leading centre for the diagnosis, treatment and care of people with neurological and neuromuscular conditions.

It takes a whole team of people – from consultants and nurses to radiographers and porters – to make patients feel safe and well looked-after. If you or a loved one has been treated at the hospital and you want to say thank you to the staff, we'd love to hear from you. Also, if there was anyone in particular who especially helped you, please do tell us about them!

We will share your messages with the Queen Square clinicians and other team members. And, if you would like to support The National Hospital, please consider making a donation to The National Brain Appeal. All contributions help us carry on our vital work, meaning we can invest in research, training and state-of-the-art facilities to help transform life for the millions of people affected by a neurological condition. Ive been so lucky to receive such amazing care over the years. Ive been attending outpatient clinics since 2005 and went under the knife in 2013. I describe it as having a man-hole cover made in my skull, the optical nerve hole in the back of the eye socket of the skull made larger then the man hole being covered up again. No mean feat. That and subsequent radiation have stopped the tumour in its tracks. EVERYONE I have ever encountered has been wonderful. Thank you all so very much
